Ways to Give

Thank you for your support of Jewish Family Services! Your gift will allow us to provide life-saving and life-changing services to the more than 3,000 individuals each year. All gifts, of any size, are important to our work and our clients.

Donations are accepted through the JFS website, via mail or in person at our downtown offices. Please click here to download a contribution form.

Checks

Please make checks payable to Jewish Family Services and mail your checks to:

Your contribution will be credited to the Friends Membership Campaign unless otherwise indicated. Checks must be postmarked, or delivered in person, by December 31st in order to be eligible for a charitable deduction on income tax returns for that calendar year.

Credit Cards

For your convenience, Jewish Family Services accepts VISA, MasterCard and Discover. Please call the Development Office at 414-225-1302 during normal business hours to make a gift using your credit card gift or make a gift online at any time. Credit card gifts must be received by midnight on December 31 in order to be eligible for a charitable deduction on income tax returns for that calendar year.

Tribute Donations

Tribute donations can be made in honor or memory of a colleague, friend, or family member or to celebrate special occasions such as anniversaries, bar or bat mitzvahs, birthdays, graduations, or weddings.

Stock/Appreciated Securities

Gifts of stock entitle the donor to a tax deduction at the appreciated value of the stock with no capital gains tax. When you are prepared to make your gift, please notify Sally Lyne, Vice President of Development & Communications at 414-225-1336 or slyne@jfsmilw.org. Please ask your broker or bank to include your name in the transaction description.

Corporate Matching Gifts

Does your company offer a matching gift program that can multiply the impact of your charitable contribution? If you are not sure, ask your human resources department and they can provide you with a matching gift form that you can send in with your contribution. Car donations

JFS and Charitable Auto Resources, Inc. (CARS) have partnered together to allow individuals to donate their used cars, motorcylces, boats, trucks, vans and RVs to benefit Jewish Family Services! All you have to do is call the toll free number 877-JFS-4-CAR (877-537-4227) and arrangements will be made to pick up your car within 48 hours, sell it at auction with proceeds to benefit JFS. Or you can even donate your car online at http://www.donatingiseasy.org/donate-car-jfs-milwaukee.htm.

You will receive the proper IRS donation form to take a charitable deduction on your income taxes. There is no effort on your part!

Donate to JFS as you surf the web! Goodsearch.com is a search engine that is powered by Yahoo! which makes it possible to donate to your favorite charity with a few clicks! You can also Goodshop.com for JFS. Just enter the store’s website through Goodshop.com page and JFS gets credit.
