Jewish Family Services Recipient of Grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation for Case Management ServicesFebruary 25, 2008
Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS) has been awarded a grant from the Greater Milwaukee Foundation in the amount of $10,000 for their Exceptional Needs case management services for developmentally disabled and mentally ill individuals. The Foundation helps peopleestablish permanent charitable funds that serve people throughout Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Washington counties and beyond. President and CEO Sylvan Leabman says that this grant will help JFS “enable clients with chronic and persistent mental illness and developmental disabilities to live safely and successfully in the community by ensuring that individualized care plans with necessary resources and services meet the needs of each client.” Since 1867, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community. Its mission is to provide supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.
