Jewish Family Services' Pathways to Healing Program presents A Healing Gathering

Jewish Family Services is pleased to announce their upcoming Healing Gathering with meditation, songs, psalms and prayers led by Cantor Marsha Fensin.  The event will be held on Tuesday, January 8th, 2008 from 7-8:30 p.m. at Laurel Oaks Retirement Community, 1700 W. Bender Rd. in Glendale and is free and open to the entire community.

The event is sponsored by Pathways to Healing, a program of Jewish Family Services, which supports individuals through times of illness or crisis and encourages wellness by addressing issues of mind, body, and spirit.  Event coordinator, Therese Dorfman, explains that “the Healing Gathering  will create exactly the kind of warm, generous healing environment that embodies the spirit of Pathways to Healing."

For 140 years, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community.  Its mission is to provide supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.
