Jewish Family Services Recipient Gustav & Gladys Kindt Foundation Grant For Kids In The Middle®Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS) has received a $5000 grant from the Gustav and Gladys Kindt Foundation for the agency’s Kids in the Middle® (KIM) program. This grant will support the agency in their efforts to offer counseling, education and support to children and families coping with family transitions such as separation and divorce. Judy Strauss, Acting Vice President of Clinical and Counseling Services at JFS, says that “Kids in the Middle is one of the many specialized counseling services that JFS offers. KIM focuses on group and individual counseling for children in a unique way that allows them to relate and respond to their peers in similar situations. We are grateful to the Gustav and Gladys Kindt Foundation. The Foundation’s grant will help us to continue providing a safe place where children can understand the changes in their families, express their feelings, and learn how to cope. For 140 years, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community. Its mission is to provide supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions. |
