Jewish Family Services Hires Melanie Hersch as Older Adult Outreach CoordinatorMay 12, 2008
Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS) is pleased to announce that Melanie Hersch has joined the agency as the Older Adults Services Outreach Coordinator. Ms. Hersch will be responsible for outreach and programming, and will provide mental and emotional support services for individuals, and families in the community. Previously, Ms. Hersch served as a Field Interviewer for two federally funded studies, was the JFS Volunteer Services Director from 2004-05, a Research Associate for the Medical College of WI, and was a Public Health Advisor and Program Manager for the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. She received her Bachelor’s degree in biology from Wake Forest University in Winston Salem, NC. Since 1867, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community. In 2008 JFS was recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Southeastern Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine and The Management Association. Its mission is to provide supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.
