Jewish Family Services Presents Six Critical Conversations, Forming Healthy RelationshipsMay 8, 2008
Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS) is pleased to announce that the next session in the series Six Critical Conversations: Talking with Your Teen will be “Forming Healthy Relationships” led by Michelle Buckler, L.P.C., M.Ed., psychotherapist at Jewish Family Services. The event will be held from 7:00-8:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 29th at the Radisson North Shore, 7065 N. Port Washington Road, in Milwaukee and is free and open to the community. Six Critical Conversations is sponsored by the Kennedy and Barnett Families. Ms. Buckler indicates that “This program is a part of Six Critical Conversations’ initiative to guide and support parent-child communication and address vital issues relating to teenagers. Forming Healthy Relationships will assist parents in helping their children distinguish between positive and harmful associations. While teens often learn about relationships in school, from friends and the media, parents are often at a loss as to how to communicate relationship strategies that will help protect their child’s self-esteem.” Since 1867, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community. In 2008 JFS was recognized as one of the “Best Places to Work” in Southeastern Wisconsin by Milwaukee Magazine and The Management Association. Its mission is to provide supportive services that strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.
