Jewish Family Services Recipient of Helen Bader Foundation Grant for Pathways to Healing ProgramJewish Family Services is pleased to announce that they are the recipient of a two-year grant totaling $50,000 from the Helen Bader Foundation, Milwaukee, WI. to support the agency’s Pathways to Healing program. Pathways to Healing supports individuals through times of illness or crisis and encourages wellness by addressing issues of the mind, body and spirit. The program is part of Jewish Family Services’ Clinical and Counseling Division. Pathways to Healing has provided programs throughout the Milwaukee community in collaboration with other non-profits, synagogues and organizations such as healing experiences, seminars and classes related to health and wellness and counseling and support groups. JFS President and CEO, Sylvan Leabman says, “this grant will allow us to continue our Pathways outreach programs for two additional years as an integral part of our clinical and counseling services.” The Helen Bader Foundation helps fund such projects and programs that advance the well-being of people and promote successful relationships with their families and communities. For almost 140 years, Jewish Family Services has provided comprehensive social services to the Milwaukee area Jewish and general community. Its primary objective is to enable clients to reach their maximum potential and lead fulfilled and rewarding lives. |
