Staff bios

Jim Welsh, L.C.S.W., M.S.

Vice President, Clinical & Case Management

Jim Welsh has twenty years of leadership experience with expertise in program design, development and outcomes based evaluation. At JFS, Jim provides leadership of the Clinical & Exceptional Needs divisions through overall planning, supervision, performance outcomes, and administration programs and services.

Prior to JFS, Jim was the Executive Director at Family Service of Waukesha where he developed the "Big Yellow House" and "Children's Place" for children experiencing abuse and trauma. He also created the Center for the Prevention of Family Violence which offers group programs for individuals experiencing aggression and violence. Before moving into administrative positions at Family Service, Jim spent fourteen years as a psychotherapist specializing in working with men, couples, and domestic violence at Family Service of Waukesha and the Milwaukee Women's Center.
