CoachingLife CoachingLife Coaches are a modern mix of trusted advisor, strategist, friend and cheerleader, who help clients grow through self discovery and achievable strategies. Unlike therapy, which tends to focus on “fixing” or “healing” past problems, Life Coaching is a non-medical, future-based, action-oriented form of counseling that has its roots in executive coaching. Vlada Kleyman, M.S.W. began her professional career at JFS in 1995 as a case manager and has extensive experience providing counseling services to individuals, families and children in various mental health settings. She received her Life Coaching accreditation in 2003 from Coach For Life, which is affiliated with the International Coach Federation. Her experience lies in spirituality based coaching promoting a balanced way of living, self care and self acceptance. For more information about Life Coaching, call Kleyman at JFS, 414-390-5800 or email her at vcoach@wi.rr.com. College and Career Coaching ServiceJewish Family Services now offers comprehensive college and career coaching to Jewish and non-Jewish high school students in the Milwaukee area by Steve Bernfeld. Bernfeld, who holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Kansas and a Master’s in Educational Psychology from UW-Milwaukee, also worked as a career counselor at the UWM Career Development Center. Area teens and families can now receive assistance in helping to simplify the college entrance and selection process. Additional services include self-assessment and career choice, high school and college students can receive assistance with college research, selection and application, job search, and resume writing. The common anxiety parents feel over the pressure their children are under to succeed often filters down to the children, who feel under extraordinary pressure to make decisions they see as lifelong. For more information on College and Career Coaching offered by Bernfeld, call Jewish Family Services at 414-390-5800 or email sbernfeld@jfsmilw.org. |
