The Family Center

It isn’t just couples who are affected by divorce – it is whole families.

As couples split up, their children experience a myriad of emotions.  They may feel that they have to take sides. They may feel powerless to determine the direction of their own lives. They may believe that they caused the break-up.  And without a doubt, they are grieving.

Jewish Family Services believes that this period of transition during divorce does not have to be a time of animosity and anger.  It should be a time when the parties set aside their differences to minimize the negative consequences of their decisions on other members of the family.

Our goal is to make this painful period of dramatic change as comfortable as possible by offering a variety of programs designed to help families through this transition.
