ANGER MANAGEMENT WORKSHOP

In today’s fast-paced world, we are increasingly called upon to maintain a calm demeanor in the face of stressful and upsetting circumstances.  Managing intense emotions depends upon skills that can be learned at any age.  To aid in this process, JFS offers a six-session, sixty minute anger management workshop where participants learn techniques for “staying cool” during “hot” encounters.

Objectives include:

  • Provide a framework for understanding anger as an emotional experience
  • Develop an appreciation of why people get angry and what we can do about it
  • Learn to understand how an individual’s unique life history affects both the experience and expression of anger
  • Identify individuals triggers and hot spots
  • Learn and practice multiple skills that are necessary for the effective management of anger.
