Every Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. Jewish Family Services (JFS), located at 1300 N. Jackson Street, hosts the Friendship House Fellowship support group. The group, comprised of Jewish men and women, meet to pursue recovery from addiction and other related problems, while integrating the spiritual Twelve Steps approach to understanding and appreciating Judaism.
Individuals wishing to attend are encouraged to call JFS at 414-390-5800 prior to their initial meeting.
Wednesday, May 30th- Join JFS psychologist Michael Luber in an open discussion on preparing disabled young adults for independence and identifying when they are ready for independence.
Tuesday, June 5th - At 7:30pm Rabbi Herber and JFS will discuss coping with chronic illness from the perspective of tradition and social work. Issues related to the individual, family and community will be addressed.
Jewish Family Services, Inc. (JFS) is excited to announce their annual spring Luncheon of Champions event on Thursday, June 14 from 11:00 a.m.- 1:30 p.m. at the Italian Conference Center, where the agency will recognize individuals who make it their personal missions to live and teach community involvement.
