Creating Choice and Opportunity

Sarah recently joined Metropolitan Milwaukee Fair Housing Council and manages the organization’s efforts to raise awareness of fair housing rights across the community. Prior to joining MMFHC, Sarah served as the Director of Public Policy and Community Engagement for The Fair Housing Center in Toledo, Ohio from 2015 – 2022.

 

In this role, Sarah played a lead role in advocacy efforts to advance equitable housing policies. She also managed the organization’s outreach activities by conducting fair housing presentations for community groups and housing professionals, handling media relations, maintaining the organization’s online presence, and developing community partnerships.

 

Prior to working in fair housing, Sarah worked for the Lucas County Commissioners office where she gained experience in government relations, and at United Way of Greater Toledo, where she coordinated major events, assisted with marketing and community engagement activities, and supported donor data and relationship management. She also gained media experience working in news graphics production at WTOL-TV. Sarah earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Filmmaking from Syracuse University.
