Join us for a podcast presentation on Mental Health Services for Children on October 19th at 8:00pm

It’s important for young children and teenagers to give voice to the worries and traumatic experiences that impact their mental health and well-being. Issues that parents, teachers and others may not be aware of and circumstances that children may not be able to easily articulate.

This podcast, hosted by The 411Live, features mental health professionals, Aaron Heffernan MA, LCSW, Psychotherapist and Patrice McBeath, Trauma-Informed Therapist from Jewish Family Services discussing the unique mental health challenges for children and the innovative therapeutic methods for helping children express their needs. The importance of active listening, non-judgmental conversations, playing and drawing are ways to support them in feeling safe and increasing their ability to process stressors and complex life situations.

Jewish Family Services provides mental health services to children through individual counseling, family counseling and in school-based settings.

To learn more, join us on Tuesday, October 19th for this podcast presentation.
