Tanya is an Advanced Practice Social Worker in the field of mental and behavioral health. Before joining Jewish Family Services Mental Health and Counseling Clinic, Tanya provided evidenced-based home visiting services to children and families at Children’s Hospital for over five years; with a focus on healthy parent-child relationships, healthy child development, as well as mental health and well-being of parents and their children. At JFS, Tanya provides psychotherapy to individuals across lifespans, however, primarily works with children and adolescents in an outpatient and school-based community setting. Tanya practices with compassion and from a strengths-based approach, upholding the belief that each individual is the expert of their own life. Tanya uses child-led expressive therapy, mindfulness and relaxation, as well as behavioral, cognitive and support counseling to assist individuals in their healing.
Tanya offers a safe space for healing; and building and rebuilding awareness of personal strengths.
