A Night to Remember at JFS: The 2025 Annual Meeting October 16, 2025
Thank you to everyone who joined us for the JFS Annual Meeting on Thursday, October 16, 2025. With more than 60 attendees, it was a meaningful evening of connection, reflection, and celebration. Together we celebrated the birthdays of Deerwood Crossing, turning 15, and Bradley Crossing, turning 10. We also rang in the 158th year of Jewish Family Services, reinforcing our commitment to provide supportive services that will strengthen families, children and individuals throughout the life cycle within the context of their unique needs and traditions.

We are proud to introduce the 2025–2026 slates of JFS and JFS Housing Board Members (event attendees from both boards, pictured), and were honored to be joined by many of our dedicated staff, friends of JFS, and community guests.
The evening featured a look back at this past year’s accomplishments, highlighted by impactful video stories provided by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation. Their work helped us tell the story of how JFS continues to serve and strengthen our community.
Disabilities Case Manager, David Prodoehl, became the first recipient of the inaugural Robert and Jennie Chortek Lifetime Achievement Award, sponsored by Irving Chortek, as recognition of his million-dollar, ten-year bequest that ends this coming year.
Clinician Aaron Heffernan entertained with his musical stylings and curated set list on the keyboard and microphone, pictured here with his groupies from JFS.

Staff present at the event represent every area of the Programs and Services offered at JFS and JFS Housing. They worked together to pull off the event, and enjoyed speaking about the impact they make every day.

Thank you to all who attended and supported this special event. We look forward to the year ahead.
